We’re delighted that you have considered our charity to raise funds for. We ask that you bear the following terms and conditions in mind so that you go about it the right way! Agreeing to fundraise for us means you have agreed to the following:
- Ensure we recieve all donations. This can easily be done via Paypal and Tiltify. Fundraisers collecting donations by other means should keep to standards on handling donations
- Any in-person fundraising (e.g. a public event held at a physical location, or door-to-door fundraising) must be cleared with us, so we can ensure safety of all participants. Contact us here.
- Stay safe when streaming: do not give sensitive personal information, personal financial details, or specific location information, to strangers and people you do not trust.
- Do your best to ensure your actions during fundraising (including promotion of fundraising activities, and the fundraising activities themselves) do not place yourself or anyone else in danger or at risk of harm.
- You are responsible for organising all aspects of your fundraising.
- We will not accept any liability relating to your fundraising activities. We do not take responsibility for any losses or harm incurring from your fundraising activity.
- Be respectful to others, and do not engage with people in an aggressive, harassing, or abusive way. Respect the privacy of others.
- As you will be fundraising in aid of Gaming the Mind, your actions may affect the public reputation of Gaming the Mind. Ensure that you do not act in a manner that would harm our public reputation.
- Ensure that you refer to your fundraising as “in aid of” Gaming the Mind (this makes clear that this is your own fundraising initiative and not ours).
- Please do not use our regular logo in your fundraising: please use our specific “in aid of” graphics (this makes clear that your activities are not officially part of Gaming the Mind).
- The person in charge of fundraising must be aged 18 or over. Anyone aged under 18 who is involved in fundraising must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Complaints regarding fundraising can be sent on our contact page. Trustees will investigate any complaints and discuss at Trustee meetings and respond appropriately. Complaints that can not be resolved at charity level can be directed to the Fundraising Regulator
- You must cease fundraising in the event we ask you to stop, which we may do if we are concerned about the safety of your activity or the negative impact your activity is causing members of the public or our charity, or if your activity seems illegal.
- We do not store or process personal data from donors / fundraisers. Please see Paypal and Tiltify pages for information regarding data protection.
- Further questions regarding fundraising can be sent on our contact page.
